The Art Pad Studio - Lympsham, Somerset

I have always been interested in art, primarily drawing, from an early age.  This subsequently developed into painting, collage and mixed media predominantly in the landscape and figure.  My creative tendency is drawn towards creating abstract work with expressionist undertones and here I love to explore colour for its emotional content and impact.  I am, however, also drawn to the impact of black and white. 

While undertaking a foundation degree in art and design at Weston College I was able to experiment with different materials in other areas, including 3D work.

More recently I have been experimenting with mould making and materials such as concrete, clay, plaster and resin, combining the different mediums to see how they work together to create various forms.

I currently work from my studio, The Art Pad, which is based in Lympsham, Somerset.
